Truwax is a sterile bone wax used during surgery to monitor and plug fluid leaks from the bone surface, acting as a mechanical barrier and providing a haemostatic function that blocks pores and channels in injured or damaged bone.

It consists of a sterile mixture of beeswax, paraffin and isopropyl palmitate. The materials offer excellent malleability.
