VEINSPY PORTABLE VEIN DETECTOR
VeinSpy is a portable device to facilitate visualisation of veins in adult, paediatric, geriatric, obese and dark-skinned patients with difficult venous access.
It is based on cross-illumination technology: light beams from a circular array of LEDs penetrate the skin and act as a light source to achieve deep illumination of subcutaneous tissue.
Veins in the illuminated area absorb the light and stand out as dark lines.
The VeinSpy device consists of two coloured LED arrays: one array emits optimal orange light for superficial veins, another array emits red light to find deeper veins.
