The measurement of CRP in whole blood, serum or plasma has 2 purposes:
- the level of hs-CRP helps to assess cardiovascular risk and disorders of the peripheral vascular system. High hs-CRP values indicate an increased risk of cardiovascular disease.
- The CRP level helps identify and track infections and diseases that cause inflammation (lymphoma, lupus, giant cell arteritis, osteomyelitis, rheumatoid arthritis, etc.).
Can be used on whole blood or serum/plasma.
Results in 7 minutes, brightly coloured result bands, control band for correct test performance
- can be stored at room temperature.
