Helix devices and their indicators are proven to detect faults during each cycle much earlier than other chemical indicators/integrators.
EN 285:2009 specifies that the Helix (Hollow A) tests are to be used in the same way as the Bowie and Dick tests as well as batch monitoring when hospitals sterilise loads containing instruments with cavities.
In addition, the Bowie and Dick's Helix test is mandatory for Class B Bench Top Steam sterilisers.
