Tad contains glutathione (GSH), a physiological tripeptide composed of glutamic acid, cysteine and glycine, which is involved in numerous biological processes and plays an important role in the reactions that eliminate toxic substances from the body. Parenterally administered glutathione belongs to the pharmacotherapeutic category of antidotes, substances capable of transforming a toxic agent into a harmless or low-injury compound.

Tad is used for the prevention of neuropathy (disease of the nervous system) resulting from treatment with drugs called chemotherapeutics, such as cisplatin or analogues, used to treat certain types of cancer.

The medicinal product must be administered by intravenous infusion.
Treatment of isotonic fluid depletion (extracellular dehydration).
Adults and adolescents: 500 ml to 3 litres over 24 hours.
Infants and children (up to 12 years of age): 20 to 100 ml over 24 hours per kg body weight, depending on age and total body weight.
The dosage should be reduced appropriately in patients with renal insufficiency.
Treatment of sodium deficiency.
