FAT PLICOMETER -1
Inexpensive and accurate plicometer for professional use.
It measures the thickness of the skin folds in various districts of the body, according to the characteristics devised by Tanner and Whitehouse:
- pressure exerted on the skin fold: approx. 10 g/mm2
- contact surface on the fold: 6x11 mm approx.
This instrument gives an exact assessment of the nutritional status of the subject under examination and how its adipose tissue is distributed sectorially.
The user lifts a fold of skin between his or her fingers to measure its thickness (max. opening 4 cm) with the instrument's forceps: on the upper edge there is a scale in millimetres on which an arrow moves, immediately measuring the plica (tricipital, subscapular, etc.) to the nearest ± 2 mm.
Coloured bands inserted close to the scale allow the measured value to be compared with separate reference percentiles for men and women.
Supplied with user manual to assist in the interpretation of values.
Useful in dietetics, cardiology, sports medicine, aesthetic medicine, gynaecology, paediatrics, etc.
Multilingual manual: GB, FR, IT, DE, ES, GR, PT, Arabic.
Made in Italy.
