ASKINA DRESSIL BORDER - 7.5X7.5CM
Askina® DresSil Border is a tri-layered selective microadherence dressing made of polyurethane foam that has, on the side in contact with the wound bed, a layer of silicone equipped with numerous holes that promote the passage of exudate. The special structure of the dressing presents a slight convexity on all four sides, allowing its proper adaptation to the conformation of the wound, preventing any curling of the edges. The presence of the adhesive edge in polyurethane film associated with a medical silicone film equipped with a special architecture of holes that guarantees the characteristics of atraumaticity typical of the silicone interface, ensures maximum protection of the perilesional skin and excellent adhesiveness even in parts of the body subjected to stress. The dressing can be easily removed without the release of residue on the wound bed.
Askina® DresSil Border is indicated for the treatment of a wide range of wounds with medium/high exudate, partial or full thickness, such as: pressure ulcers, venous and arterial ulcers of the lower extremities, diabetic foot ulcers, first- and second-degree burns, explantation sites, and skin tears. Its reduced thickness allows its use on injuries in anatomical areas that require high conformability. 1) Lesion contact layer: medical-grade silicone film equipped with a special architecture of holes that allow the passage of exudate to the subsequent polyurethane foam layer.
The structure of the holes is characterized by a matrix that is repeated throughout the extent of the silicone layer and consists of a central hole of 5 mm diameter surrounded by 6 holes of 3 mm diameter.
2) Intermediate layer: hydrophilic absorbent hydrocellular structure consisting of polyurethane foam. It allows high "vertical" absorption of exudate without release under pressure. It also allows
excellent management of the wet environment and eliminates the risks of maceration of the wound edges.
3) Outer layer: polyurethane film impermeable to liquids and bacteria (external agents) and gas permeable. This allows the tissues to breathe, maintaining the right moist environment while allowing liquids to evaporate
in excess.
Method of use:
- Cleanse the wound with a suitable solution (e.g., Prontosan® solution) following normal procedures
- Dry the perilesional skin
- Select a suitable sized dressing to cover the surface of the lesion, making sure there is adequate space between the adhesive edge and the edges of the lesion
- Remove the protective sheet and apply the adhesive (silicone) side to the lesion
- Adhere the dressing to the wound
- During removal, lift one edge of the dressing and remove it slowly

ASKINA® CALGITROL AG+ 10X10 CM
Askina® Calgitrol® Ag+ is an antimicrobial dressing for exuding and infected wounds made of soft, conformable nonwoven fabric based on sodium carboxymethyl cellulose (CMC) and cellulose fiber(s) reinforcing silver antimicrobial properties. The silver in the dressings has an antimicrobial effect on a broad spectrum of bacteria present in the wound and retained between the fibers of the dressing. Through gel formation, debris and all bacteria in the wound exudate can be retained within the fibers of the dressing and removed once the dressing is changed.
When dry, Askina® Calgitrol® Ag+ can be easily cut to the size of the wound. Even when the dressing is moist, like a gelled fiber, its structure remains intact.
Key features:
- High vertical absorption capacity of exudate
- Antimicrobial effect given by sustained-release ionic silver
- Maintains a properly moist wound environment
- Protects the wound edge and surrounding skin from maceration
- One-piece removal due to reinforcing cellulose fiber
- Broad antimicrobial spectrum
- Low level of cytotoxicity: only the ionic fragment of silver is released
- Breaks down and destroys biofilm
Indications for use:
- Suitable for all ages
- For moderately to heavily exuding wounds
- For chronic wounds, e.g., leg ulcers, pressure ulcers, and diabetic ulcers
- For surgical injuries, e.g., postoperative injuries and donor sites
- For traumatic injuries, e.g., abrasions and lacerations
- For partial-thickness burns Askina® Calgitrol® Ag+ is composed of a fiber blend that makes it a durable dressing even after contact with wound exudate.
Composition:
- CMC gelling fiber
- Reinforcing cellulose fiber
- Cellulose fiber containing silver nanoparticles

LINOVERA 30 ML SPRAY
Linovera® by B. Braun is a plant-derived essential, polyunsaturated and hyperoxygenated fatty acid (EFA) solution indicated for the prevention and treatment of stage I pressure ulcers.
EFAs, metabolic precursors of prostaglandins, are helpful in maintaining a condition of epidermal integrity and elasticity and the skin's water barrier. The absence or deficiency of EFAs leads to a disturbance of prostaglandin production and to the degradation of skin condition: eczema, erythema, skin thinning.
Linovera® works by increasing skin resistance and promoting capillary repair through regeneration of epidermal cells, thus preventing the onset of injury.
The hyperoxygenated fatty acids (EFAs) in Linovera® promote blood microcirculation, reduce the risk of ischemia, and facilitate epidermal cell renewal, increasing skin resistance against agents that cause pressure ulcers. At the same time they protect against friction by rebuilding the hydrolipidic protective film of the epidermis, reduce skin fragility and prevent dehydration. In addition, thanks to their antioxidant activity, they also reduce damage caused by free radicals.
Indications for use.
Linovera® is indicated for the prevention and treatment of:
- stage I skin ulcers
- skin areas subjected to prolonged pressure loading
- skin areas showing redness caused by compression, rubbing, cutting
- perilesional skin in the presence of vascular ulcers Composition per 1000 grams:
- Hyperoxygenated fatty acid mixture: 986.5 gr.
- Essential oil of rosemary: 10 gr.
- Oily extract of centella asiatica: 2.5 gr.
- Oily extract of aloe vera: 1 gr.
LINOVERA SCAR REPAIR - 15GR
Cosmetic gel based on hyaluronic acid, centella asiatica and a combination of natural extracts (Syricalm) indicated for the treatment and prevention of scars. Thanks to its innovative formulation, it accelerates epidermal repair, increasing its strength and elasticity.
Ideal for the treatment of:
- hypertrophic scars
- recent or previous keloids
- post-operative wound closes
- prevention of hypertrophic or keloid scar formation
Applied directly to the scar, Linovera Scar Repair forms a thin, transparent film that works by attenuating keloid formation and promoting normalization of damaged tissue. 1) Apply the gel twice a day, preferably in the morning and evening.
2) Spread the gel on clean, dry skin and gently massage the scar with your fingers until fully absorbed.
3) We recommend using a silicone dressing (e.g. Askina Scar Repair) to protect the skin from UV rays and enhance the effect of the product
